Why Do We Love Desserts?

A present is an exhibition that explores this question through works by three contemporary art and picture book artists from Korea and Spain.

Violeta Lopiz’s illustrations from I Pani d’Oro della Vecchina show the warmth of sharing desserts. Jimin Kim’s The Taste of the Tart vividly conveys the joy that flavors bring. KyungLynn Chang’s sculptures capture the beauty of desserts. Together, these twenty works tell us that we love desserts because they can be shared, because they are delicious, and because they are beautiful. We hope this becomes a gift-like moment ; one where simply thinking about why you love desserts brings you joy.
