Open Study
Designed as a place for rest and inspiration, the Jaime Hayon Garden provides a novel experience with Jaime Hayon’s sculptures and forty different kinds of plants.
An Open Indoor Garden in the City
Named after artist Jaime Hayon, the Jaime Hayon Garden is a refreshing indoor garden in the heart of the city. It is an indoor space but has a sense of open air. The high glass ceilings mean natural light streams in from above. Fresh winds blow through the windows. In the evenings, the garden lights up and transforms into a cozy space with a completely different charm from the daytime.
Sculptures Telling Stories with Plant
Standing throughout the garden, the large animal sculptures by Jaime Hayon create a dramatic spatial experience. These imaginary animal sculptures stand in humorous poses and are inspired by quotes of wisdom and humorous ideas. For example, “THE LISTENER” stands for, “WE HAVE TWO EARS AND ONE MOUTH, SO WE SHOULD LISTEN MORE THAN WE SAY.” “THE SHARING ELEPHANT” is about “SHARING IS CARING.”
A Garden with the Four Seasons of Forty Different Plants
Named after artist Jaime Hayon, the Jaime Hayon Garden is a refreshing indoor garden in the heart of the city. It is an indoor space but has a sense of open air. A Beautiful Harmony of Sounds
A beautiful harmony of sounds makes the Jaime Hayon Garden a special place. The sound of water falling from a sculpture of a dreamy face, the sound of people slowly moving through the sculptures, and the sound of leaves falling create a wonderful harmony. Take a walk along the stepping stones throughout the garden and listen to the stories told by the artworks and nature. The hanging plants and smiling installations around the garden make visitors feel curious and give a visually pleasing experience.
MOKA Garden provides a wide range of customer services to enhance the experience.
A Sweet Walk Around the Garden : A Dome-Shaped Garden Cafe
The cafe in the garden is also part of Jaime Hayon’s sculpture. There is a bird on top of the dome, and a sausage on top of the bird’s head. Together, they create a surreal feeling. You can take a walk around the garden, tasting cookies and cakes that resemble Jaime Hayon’s sculptures.
Nature Literacy: Education for Children
The MOKA Garden is also an art museum that nurtures dreams through nature literacy. With this in mind, there is a wide range of educational programs about nature for children. Children learn about the preciousness of nature by reading picture books, observing and collecting objects in nature, and planting different plants in the garden. There is also a “Forest Tour with MOKA,” a nature literacy program that introduces forests around the world.
VR Tour with Audio Guide
The MOKA Garden is accessible from all around the world. A VR tour and audio guide are available and allow people to walk through the garden, listen to the warm melodies sung by Hayon's imaginary animals, and see the more than forty different kinds of plants.
