MOKA Library is a cultural space with storytelling. At the library, children can explore space with more than 2,000 books with a focus on the theme of nature. Plus, they can appreciate nature from various directions by following the picture books fairly closely that are listed with 52 small/medium/large category keywords.
CHILDREN ARE AT THE CENTER OF MOKA LIBRARY
The bookcases in the library
correspond to the height of
children who are the primary
users of the space.
Seen from above, the bookcases
are in the shape of the letter “S.”
The shape is intended to look
like a snake. Children can play
around the bookcases and take
out books as they like.
Installed and placed between the bookcases, movable stools and wall sofas provide a comfort zone for children to pleasantly read picture books.
Curated with MOKA Library’s spirit of nature, the books hosted in the bookcases in the library offer the children an opportunity to develop their imagination and dreams.
A LIBRARY OF CHILDREN’S IMAGINATION
The ceiling of MOKA Library bears a wide variety of design elements. Shapes reminding of human figures, faces, and leaves are added as layers under the ceiling, inviting visitors to the rich world
of imagination.
The pillars of the library also invite children to think of imaginary human figures with a level of abstraction that allows rich
imagination.
