Fabian Negrin: Adventure Beyond Childhood

This exhibition focuses on three key themes that run through Fabian Negrin's work: ‘classic stories,’ ‘reinterpretation,’ and ‘children.’ It presents his representative works from early pieces to unreleased new works, organized into three sections: ‘Adventure,’ ‘Beyond,’ and ‘Childhood.’ This alphabetical arrangement is a homage to Negrin's work Alfabetiere delle fiabe (Fairy Tale Alphabet), which is on view in Exhibition Room 1. The artist has expressed special love for this book. It pairs rhyming words with illustrations in alphabetical order to create a unique blend of poetry, fairy tales, and picture book elements. At MOKA, visitors can discover Fabian Negrin as a dedicated artist who has drawn daily since age fifteen. He believes in the power of basic tools—pencils, erasers, and paper—and sees drawing as the heart of all his work. We hope this exhibition offers children an exciting opportunity to explore imaginative worlds and provides adults with meaningful moments to be moved by beautiful visual experiences.
