Introduction to The Un-printed Ideas Exhibition
The Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books and Art is opening The 《Un-printed Ideas》 Exhibition to support the arts and culture, and to cultivate new artists.
Since March, the museum has received the support of many artists on the 5 themes of hatred, crisis, picture books without words, pictures for adults, and friends. A total of 14 artists were chosen after a thorough selection process. Kirin Kim, Dayeon Kim, Sori Kim, Sumin Kim, Yoonleaf Nam, Suin Park, Petits Pieds, Yeseul, Kangmi Yoon, Seoul Lee, Min Lee, Jieun Jun Jieun Jeon •Haneul An, Jiyoung Jung, and Minhee Cho expanded their visual creativity and originality based on their new experiences and activities during this process.
In bringing new ideas to the opening exhibition, we would like to follow the process of small and large ‘growth', and suggest some possibilities and a new direction for picture books.
The visitors will meet ‘dummy books', complete with 120 original paintings, and sketches that show the process of ideas coming into one, sample works, and notes in a space that represents movements for ‘growth': unfolding, bending, gathering, and connecting. It will be a great opportunity to enjoy the works of the artists through various programs, media, and installations based on the understanding of the overall process of creating dummy books.
Meet the new stages and ‘growth’ of these 14 artists at 《Un-printed Ideas》.
